We have free days on Sunday, and so they give us breakfast in the morning, then they give us a sack lunch and set us free. We can do whatever we want to during our breaks, and my group, Mckenzie, Chadwick, and I decided to do the Rampart Walk on the walls around the city. It was beautiful to see all the different levels of all the different parts of the city. The Old City is divided up into religious sections, and so there is the Jewish quarter, Muslim quarter, Armanian quarter and Christian quarter. The quarter that we are in most of the time is the Christian quater. We visited Shabaan, a salesman that has been around forever, and my grandparents know him, and he loves the Mormons that come here. We went there earlier that day, and he told us that if we came back he would feed us, so of course we came back. We tried on all of the dresses that are in his shop, and tried on the rings in his other shop. He sent for hummis and pita, and we sat and talked with him for almost three hours! That man is so wonderful! Later, he took out a picture of my Grandma at his house, and it was so fun!! I am so excited to get to know the people here in Jerusalem. They are so good! I love my life, and I love Jerusalem!!
