a non-fast Shabbat

So, today was nice, I got to sleep in!! All the way until 7:30. That's late here. Usually my roommates are up and making noise at around 6:00. That is so not my cup of tea. But I am trying to handle it well! haha. I got dressed for church (yes, church is on Saturday here), and went to breakfast. So, everyday breakfast is the same thing. So what I get is a kind of porridge that they call oatmeal, but its not really. Its more like a really yummy cream of wheat. So, I get that, watermelon, and some kind of bread something. Then we went to choir, and the choir is amazing here! I love it!! The lady that conducts asked if anybody wanted to conduct, and of course I jumped at the chance. If people don't know, I am kind of obsessed with conducting right now. I took a class last semester, and now I love it!! Seriously, every class I conduct the opening hymn with all the breaths and everything else I learned. The only thing I don't do is the dynamics in the left hand. Church today was wonderful! I think it is impossible to have a not wonderful Shabbat here. Even if you don't feel the spirit from the talks, you just look out over the whole city of Jerusalem, and it is impossible to not feel the spirit there. It is so strong! Then we had Sunday School. Because there was a tour that was pretty large visiting for church this Shabbat, we had sunday school in the same glorious room, and it was a wonderful class. So many people participate here, it's amazing! You never have an awkward silence. It's nice. Relief Society was fabulous! It is so nice to be starting to really know people here. I already feel so connected with so many of the people here! After church, all 79 of us walked to the Garden Tomb. It was just as wonderful the second time! While everybody was soaking in the wonderful feeling there, a group of us sat down with our hymn books and started singing hymns about the savior. We aren't allowed to teach about the gospel here in Jerusalem, but our testimonies shone through while we sang. People were video taping us and taking pictures of us, and when we were done, they were thanking us. It was so nice that they noticed the spirit we had! We walked home and ate a delicious dinner. This one was one of my favorites with a yellow pianapple and apple chicken. And we had actual ice cream for dessert! (sometimes the dessert here is very bizzare!) After, we watched Elder Bednars' CES fireside, and it was really great! We are going to Jerecho on Monday, so after the talk, our choir met and sang "Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho" for when we are there. It is a way cool arrangement, and I am excited for us to sing it! And Yes, I conducted this as well! Overall, a great day!

Today is Birthmothers day. I went to a walk down in Provo for Birthmothers and it was great- Emily came with me- which made it even more fun. Have fun over there. Tell me a good time to come over! Do you think it would work?
