Getting Lost!

It is unsafe to go into the Old City on Friday until 3:00 because of the uprisals that can happen during religious practices, so at exactly 3, we headed for the old city. We first went to look for a staircase to get up to the roofs of the houses and buildings. It looked so amazing! We walked around up there and then went walking all around the city and got lost. It was so fun to be lost, because we had to figure out what to do, and while getting lost we found a lot of interesting things. We saw people going on tours of the places where Christ supposedly walked and they were carrying crosses and it was like a moving Catholic mass. Very interesting! Then we walked around by the shops, and got hit on by many men. I have never heard people use pick up lines in real life before! Funny! It is so fascinating to be around the people in their every day activities. It is unbelieveable that I get to witness their lifes! We bought some amazing pita and falafels. So yummy!
I am excited for this city to start being home for me!!

  1. What sizes are the groups that you go out in? Do you have your phones with you? Are there girls and boys in every group?

  3. the groups that you go in are 3, and before dark it can just be girls, but then after there has to be a guy in the group. sometimes its hard, but we are friends with lots of the guys, so it's pretty easy.
