(me and Rachel)

At 2:00 AM we were awaken to get on the buses. We grabbed our breakfasts and drove to the base of Mount Sinai where our Bedouin guides were waiting to take us up the mountain. The hike was great! Not very hard at all, and in a couple hours we made it to the top!

(Monica, Brittany, Jessica, Elise, Me, McKenzie getting ready to hike Sinai)

It was absolutely freezing up there, and we sat there, huddled together until the sun starting coming up. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen!!

(Me on the top of Sinai)

(Ashley, Me, and Elise apparently in Danger)

The sky was so clear, and the sun was just gorgeous! After it was risen, we divided into our classes and had a testimony meeting. It was unbelievable to be where God came to Moses. It was such a testimony strengthening experience!! After our meeting, we hiked down, and got on the bus to leave. We stopped at a restaurant on the Red Sea to eat and go swimming. I didn’t swim, because I didn’t want to be salty and gross the whole way back to Jerusalem. And now I am glad I didn’t swim, because when we got out of the bus at customs, that’s when I broke my foot. Overall, minus the foot thing, it was a great trip! I loved it!! I wouldn’t want to live in Egypt, but the experience was incredible!!

The strangest things about Egypt:

We had to bring toilet paper wherever we went, because they didn’t provide it.

We have to pay to use the bathrooms.

We can’t drink regular water.

No fruits or Veggies

We have to use a water bottle while we brush our teeth.

those are just a few.
