Every Sunday we get a free day. In the morning we have breakfast and grab our sack lunch and water and are free to roam for the day. These are super fun days, but recently they have been more quiet days with everyone but me out of the center. But on Sunday, we got to go to the Zoo!!! I was so excited! We called a taxi and drove up, wheelchair in tow, to the zoo. I got in for free because I was in a wheelchair, which totally made my day!
We started looking around, and immediately these little Jewish girls in school uniforms latched themselves onto me, and pushed me around saying things in Hebrew that I couldn't understand. They would giggle, and somehow we figured out how to talk. I loved it! I love little kids!
We took a little train to the top of the zoo then got off at the top and worked our way down stopping by all the animals. We figured out who went with what animals, and so each animal we were looking to see if that was our animal. I ended up being a peacock because of my flowers in my hair and how much i love them, but I am also a flamingo because I have a broken leg and hop a lot on one foot. At least in the beginning I did. Now that I have a hard cast and a boot, I can walk better on it. But I am happy with the animals alloted to me! Very nice.
It was so nice to get out to go to the zoo! We had such a fabulous time! And another bonus is that because the whole park was hills, I got a great workout! I loved it!!!
you home now?
