Fieldtrips Part 1 - Shafelah

Me and Trisha
Me, Matt, and Lisa

Since I broke my foot, things have been a little different. I haven't been to the old city in weeks! I haven't really left the center at all, in fact, since I broke my foot! This being said, fieldtrips are a little difficult.
Last week we went on a huge walking fieldtrip with sperlunking in caves and lots and lots of stairs. At this point I had to keep my foot elevated as much as possible and could only be in a wheelchair. Not the best for this fieldtrip. So the sweet ladies here, Sister Brown and Sister Huff, offered to drive me behind the buses, and we talked about the things I was missing. I could do a couple things, and one of the boys here, Matt, would give me piggy-back rides when I couldn't use my wheelchair and it wasn't awful terrain. I got to know the ladies really well, and it was so much fun! They are the sweetest! I did get to go into the Bell caves, though, and that was one of my top favorite things that I have done on this trip so far. They were beautiful with light streaming in, and a wheelchair sign outside! It was wonderful! We drove home before the buses did, when we were done with stuff that I could do, and Brother and Sister Skinner joined us. I got to know them really well, and it was so fun! Brother and Sister are just the nicest couple, and so funny! When we got back to the center, Sister Skinner came down to my room on the fifth floor and she made my bed and set up my shower to use with a broken foot! What a sweet sweet lady! I feel like I have 6 moms constantly around ready to help me if I need anything!! What a wonderful place!!
