The Old City

Today we went into the Old City, and it was incredible! There were shops everywhere, and people saying great things about Mormons the whole time. When you walk into the old city, you have a fork in the road, and at the front of that there is a Pita stand with falafel. They gave us free falafel to try it, and it is by far the best I have ever had. I am going to LOVE this place!! We had a tour guide from the center with us, and were split into groups of ten, and our guide was Brother Huff. He answered every question we had, and we had a lot! We also went to a store where he sells things especially for the "Mormon University". There he had Relief Society key chains and Jerusalem Center key chains, and Jerusalem center shirts! Also, this man that owns it sells everything at his own price, so there is no bartaring, but he sells at the lowest and tells us where to buy the lowest priced things. Also in this store, he sells Bethlehem Blankets which are blankets to bless your baby in. This was the most exciting and emotional thing for me because on the front of it was a poem by my Grandpa. So fun! Now its lunch time. We do SO much a day!! I love it here! I love you all!!

  1. I can almost picture your entire day. We had such fun in Shabban's shop when we were there. Such a tiny place and he was so nice to all of us. Of course mom and dad knew him well. I will have to google to see who Brother Huff is. This is so fun to read these posts.
