Still loving Banbury. It is the greatest!!

This is a note from the poster of Annie's letters (Elna). Below there is a mention of Lucy having twins. She is not even pregnant and it is a joke between Lucy and Annie. I wish it were true. If an announcement like that happens it won't be announced through this blog-post. It is a good thing I got a call from Diane - a big thanks!!

Dearest momma and papa, and family,
We have a pretty crazy p-day ahead of us. And at that, we only have a half hour so far, so we are REALLY hoping that we can keep these computers for an hour.

I continue to get letters from H - she is wonderful. I know she will be in China for a month now. I will miss being able to get letters from her! But that's awesome. I also got a cute postcard from Mara, I love her so much!

I’m happy to hear that you have a tomato! And that you have an inch of cilantro, and some beets maybe? Yet! I can't believe you are going to Yosemite without me! I will miss it! You will have to take lots of pictures and send them to me, and don't have too much fun without me! Not fair. Come to England instead. PS: speaking of coming to England. Bishop and Sister Au offered you a bed if you decide to come pick me up at the end of my mission. I wouldn't say no if I were you, he used to be a police officer! Ha-ha.

Have fun with Lucy! I wish I was there. Tell her that I am praying for her and her twins. They are coming! You guys are going to have so much fun! Send me pictures! You are great; I love you both so much! Thank you for all you do.

I’m glad you got my snail mail letter. We had too much fun writing those post-it notes, obviously. We are easily entertained. Ha-ha.

Postboxes in Banbury are SO cool. I love them!!

I got a letter from J Dthis morning, as well as the letter and Jerusalem music which is awesome! I know that song, and I am excited to sing it. I am going to try to get Elder Davies, my zone leader, to sing it with me next time I see him. He has an unbelievable voice. Josh said that he is sending off a post card to papa. How fun!

As to things going on here, things are going well. Last week we had our best numbers that I have had here in the mission, which was pretty exciting. We worked, and continue to work SO hard. It’s pretty exhausting, but if we don't work we aren't happy. And I like being happy, so I work. Hard! It’s awesome.

So my week has been pretty good. We are finally getting more dinner appointments with members, which is awesome. We have one every day this week! The great thing about dinner appointments is that we get to know the ward SO much better. Saying hi at church just isn't significant enough to get to know the ward, so it's so nice to spend time with them. We are loving it, and seeing a difference in the ward clearly. It’s great! And we are seeing a huge difference in the ward being member missionaries, which is wonderful! Many members are finally giving the Book of Mormons to their friends and finding great things happening! One member, Hannah, the bishop’s daughter, gave her co-worker a copy of the Book of Mormon, and he took her seriously and is already into 2 Nephi, which is awesome! She also invited him and his family to church for this next Sunday, and we are thrilled! It’s so nice to see the ward working so hard to be missionaries, and it's changing them!

On Thursday we had interviews with the president. This is such a great time that we get taught by Sister Ogden, and the AP's. We discussed what we wanted to be taught in the next six months from what Elder Kopischke taught us. We all decided together that we wanted to be taught more on making goals and planning effectively to reach those goals, and learning to pray more specifically. I am really excited for those things to happen! Also, they announced that starting next transfer, (in a couple weeks I think?) we are moving our preparation days to Mondays. So take note of that! Write your emails to me (family) on Sundays. Such a good Sabbath activity. Yes, I am putting a plug in to write me letters! Ha-ha. I do love them. Thank you thank you to those who do. Keep them coming! My interview with President Ogden was wonderful. He is such a wonderful man. And this time I didn't even cry in my interview! Improvements. He was so kind. He wants me to start working on getting my UK license, which is exciting. And he also said something so kind! He said that when he and his wife were discussing me, they said that if sister's would be A.Ps (assistant to the president), I would be one. How nice is that! That’s such a high compliment. I am really pleased. Hopefully he sees that I’m working really hard, and trying so hard every day to be obedient.

This last week, we have been committed by our zone leaders to be in our flats at exactly 9:00. Usually we don't have to be home until 9:30 if we are teaching a lesson. So we have achieved that all of this last week and it's made the world of difference! And it's hilarious, because usually we have to literally run as fast as we can to get there on time. It’s pretty fun! When we get in at 9, we have so much more effective time to plan for the next day and go over our day and write in our area book, all before we have to call our district leader. It’s so nice. We decided that we are going to keep that commitment if at all possible for the rest of our mission, because we see the big difference it makes in our days and nights. I love it!

We have had such fun dinner appointments lately. A cute lady in our ward had us over to her house for a lunch appointment, and she gave us a little gift of a perfume each in a handmade box that she made herself! How sweet! It was just so much fun to get to know her, and we heard all about how she joined the church and about her life. I love our ward so much, and I love getting to know them and having them knows us. When they know us, they trust us more, and when they trust us, they let us teach their friends. At least that is the idea. And it has happened with the Aguilars.

The A's are AMAZING. We love them so much. They came to church again, for the whole duration, and apparently C(the father) practically ran the discussion in Priesthood Meeting about the atonement. They are amazing! Kristy was so awesome, and she loved Relief Society. So great. We invited them to be baptized this week, and gave them two dates to pray about. They know it's true, I know they do. I am happy with their progress, and they are amazing. They will be moving air force bases in October, so I just hope it happens before then.

Last night we had dinner at the Byrch's house, and it was awesome. I love them so much! Brother By is an amazing man. He is so funny, and so helpful! He is a driving instructor, so he got me my license paper work, which I filled out with him there, and he is hopefully going to be my driving instructor, and the one who gives me my test. I would be less nervous I think if he was my instructor. We shall see.

I am hoping that I stay in Banbury for at least one more transfer, even though I am secretly praying for more than that. Preferably my whole mission. I do love it here so much. But I will go wherever the Lord sees fit to move me. But I think I will be here for at least one more transfer, I did ask President Ogden if I could. I feel like changes are happening here, and it's great! Wherever we go, people we have met before wave to us, and say hi, and call us over to talk to them. There is a group of Muslim men that are sometimes in the park, who always say hello, and love talking to us. It’s so nice.

I love this work. I love working hard, and seeing the fruits of my efforts daily. I love the gospel. I love being on a mission and being able to bring others to the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that this church is true. The spirit has born witness to me that the Book of Mormon is true, and when I read it, I am strengthened in the gospel. I know that it's true, and I know that Joseph smith was a prophet of God. I am so grateful for this knowledge! I am grateful to be in a family that loves and serves God, and I am grateful to be able to share this good news with all who want to hear it!

I love you all! I am so grateful for all you do and continue to do! Thank you for the emails and postcards and letters! They are SO appreciated.
I love you,
Love,
Sister Clark
